TEAM ORGANIZATION

Team 6643 is broken down into 7 separate committees, each of which are essential to the team's daily functions. All are guided by the oversight of the Team Captainship, with an individual Committee Captain or Director overseeing daily operations of each committee. The Construction team is responsible for building the robot each year. This committee has subcommittees that work on each part of the robot. These subcommittees are Mechanical, Electrical, Programming, and CAD (Computer Aided Design). The Drive committee is responsible for driving the robot at the competition. Members of this team are also required to work with the programmers to resolve coding issues. The Drive committee also makes the driver station each year. The drive team is composed of 5 key persons. The Safety committee is responsible for ensuring that safe procedures are being used at all times, and to ensure that no team member is ever in a position that could result in injury. It is also responsible for maintaining, updating, and enforcing all safety procedure outlined in the safety handbook and in the standard operating procedure. The Communications committee is responsible for all communication efforts. This includes media, recruiting, communicating with sponsors and parents, communicating fluently with sponsors and parents, projecting a coherent and positive public image for the team, and special projects relating to these subjects. This committee is broken down into the subcommittees of Recruiting, Website, Student Ambassador, Media, and Presentations. The Scouting committee is responsible for scouting teams out at competitions, and working with them to form alliances. This also may include gathering general information on said teams. The Aesthetics committee is responsible for the pit design and our presence at the competition. This committee makes and distributes promotional materials at competitions. The Records committee is responsible for keeping all records relating to or of the team. This includes the creation of any forms relating to the team. They are also responsible for the subcommittees of Transportation and Parts.
