Paige Allen is Team 6643's Safety Captain. Her title translates directly to a post at the competition, where she ensures that all members of the team are following safety protocol at all times. This includes safety procedures outlined in the Standard Operating procedure. Paige is also in charge of the team's safety materials, and making sure that they are always on hand. Finally, Paige is responsible for ensuring that all team members have adequate knowledge of safety procedure, both in the workshop and at competitions the team attends. As Captain, Paige's main initiatives have been the implementation of our safety clearance system. Paige succeeded Sadie O'Dell as Safety Captain. She was later confirmed to her post in the April 1st full post-competition team meeting. Before her position as Captain, Paige headed the team's inventory and records system. Paige also served as a general team member during build season.
The Captain of Safety, entitled Safety Captain at competition, is responsible for all safety practices of the team. This includes the creation of new procedures. This also includes the implementation and execution of in process guidelines, as well as the enforcement of the guidelines should and be violated. Safety Committee has no subcommittees. The Captain of Safety is also responsible for any and all interactions with the Team Captainship or other committees on behalf of the Safety Committee. The Safety Committee is customarily represented by a single Captain, who becomes Safety Captain at competition. The Captain, like all other leadership members, is elected each April 1st in the full post-competition team vote. The Captain of Safety reports directly to the Team Captainship.
